Event #17 of the World Series of Poker was the Ladies No Limit Hold’em tournament and just over one thousand women ed to compete in the event. Several pros turned out for the event including Svetlana Gromenkova, J.J. Liu and Erica Schoenberg but it would be Lisa Hamilton who would outlast the field and take down her first WSOP win. Amazingly it was one of her first ever live tournaments.
