Commission Abruptly Ends Poker Program 3v2w1a

The program for Sportsbook.com, PlayersOnly, and SuperBook changed its and conditions to remove poker from its covered services.  Referrals for its poker program ended with one day’s notice. These sites are of the Merge Gaming Network.

Commission , the program for these Jazette Enterprises-related sites, ed its marketing partners on May 20 announcing the decision. The email told s that it would stop paying for poker revenue generated by traffic referred after that date.

Commission stated that it would continue to pay s for revenue earned from sports and casinos games. It will also honor the poker agreement for players referred before May 21, 2015.

The Sportsbook.com family of sites will concentrate on its business outside of online poker. “[W]e have been looking into our Acquisition strategy and have decided that we will be focusing our marketing efforts exclusively on Sports, Casino and Horse Racing traffic going forward,” the email to s stated. “Please note that Sports, Casino and Horse Racing commission plans are not affected by this change.”

This is not the first news out of Merge Gaming this month. Carbon Poker will discontinue its program entirely on June 1. This includes all products. Carbon Poker s were ed two weeks ago with this news. Like Commission , Carbon Poker will continue to honor agreements for players referred before the program is discontinued.

Removing the focus from poker is not new in the U.S.-facing offshore industry. Bovada stopped allowing most of its s to promote poker. Like Commission , Bovada decided to focus on casino and sports.
