Poker Players Alliance Trying to Push Pennsylvania iPoker 4s1121

House committee ed HB 649 which would allow the state to begin offering online poker. The bill must now move forward to the House and then the Senate to be signed by the governor before the activity would be allowed.

To try and help, the Poker Players Alliance group has tried to create for the measure. HB 649 actually started by Representative John Payne as an online gaming bill but was soon amended to include a wide range of gambling options, creating an expansion package. The PPA is working to advocate for the measure, even creating a web page specifically for the state which would give s of the online poker bill an outlet to lawmakers directly.

PPA Executive Director, John Pappas, spoke in a press release on the subject,t stating that regardless of the new bill’s pathway to becoming a law in the state, the PPA would like to see online poker legislation enacted in 2015. The PPA is calling all poker players in Pennsylvania to tell policymakers of the state why they feel the bill needs to be ed. The PPA is urging individuals to along information of the bill and encourage others to spread the message as well, as it is important for state representatives, senators and Governor Tom Wolf to hear from their constituents.
